It's Monday, What Are You Reading?

It's Monday, What Are You Reading is a weekly meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. It is where we gather to share what we have read this past week and what we plan to read this week.

Summer finally came to Northern Norway! Over the weekend we had sunshine and pretty high temperatures, which was great after weeks of cold and even one snowfall. Tomorrow I'm leaving for Oslo to see Bon Jovi in concert. I've never been to a huge concert like this before, and I love Bon Jovi, so I'm really looking forward to it. I'm going with one of my best friends, so I imagine the trip will include shopping and eating out as well. I'll be back Thursday night, so see you then!

I stayed up until 3 AM last night because I just had to finish The Doomsday Key by James Rollins. He's one of my favourite authors of scientific thrillers, and this one was very interesting.

I just downloaded The Skeleton Key, the next installment of the Sigma Force series by Rollins, to my Kindle (now named Pickwick!). It's a short story set between The Doomsday Key and the next book, The Devil Colony. I'll probably finish it either today or on the plane tomorrow.

I got the second book in the Jolie Wilkins series, Toil and Trouble by H.P. Mallory, as a RAK from the lovely Rebecca of Kindle Fever. I found the first book to be a good holiday read, so I figured I'd tackle book two during my trip this week.

Are you doing anything special this week?

Have fun on your trip! I hope you have fun at the Bon Jovi concert! The books on your list this week all sound very interesting. I haven't read any scientific thrillers but I have found that I really like medical thrillers.

Here is my post for this week:

Hope you have a great trip. My husband's family is from Norway and one day I hope to get over there to visit.

My It's Monday post can be found here.

It's always a good sign when you have to stay up to the early hours just to finish a book. I love it when that happens (although I usually regret it if I have work the next day).

Bumps In The Road - Thank you! Scientific thrillers can be very interesting, unless you need a degree in science to understand them... Rollins is good at explaining things in plain English.

Laurel - Thanks for stopping by!

Kristin - I hope you get to visit Norway sometime, it is rather a nice country. ;) Do you know where in Norwayyour husband's family is from?

Karen - It's a very good sign! Luckily I didn't have to work today (but I doubt that would have stopped me anyway). ;)

Dollycas - Aw, I'll think of you when I'm there. :) I wanted to see them last time they were in Norway but ended up not going, and I've regretted it ever since. Not this time!

I celebrated 24 years of keeping a book diary. The flu kept me from reading at my usually insane pace but I did finish some books. Come see what they were.

First time to participate in the Monday meme. Thought I would visit some fellow bloggers and you were first on the I am!! Great to meet you. Jealous to hear your concert plans!!! Love Bon Jovi. Hope you have fun. And love your Kindle's name. I was just talking with someone about naming inanimate objects. My last car's name was Gobi, but I haven't been able to place a name for my Nook yet.
